Re: Snow Day?
Who made it into work? I made it in, from Littleton to Cambridge!
Did it take you longer than normal? The drive only took me about 5 minutes longer than it took me the last two days because traffic was so bad the beginning of the week. I did leave a 1/2 hour earlier than normal to avoid some traffic, which I think helped a lot. Had I left at normal time I think it would have taken longer.
Who made it into work? I did! I probably would have worked from home if my computer wasn't dead.
Did it take you longer than normal? The worst part was the 2 mile drive to the train, but luckily we made it with a few minutes to spare. Train and subway were on time!
Who made it into work? I did! Wow, that was fun!
Did it take you longer than normal? Yes... over an hour longer (typically takes 20 minutes). It was so slippery. I slide out of our complex into the apartment complex next door and was stuck on the hill for a good 5 minutes.
Who made it into work? I'm here!
Did it take you longer than normal? I little- maybe 10-15 minutes longer due to a little more traffic and me driving veeery slow.
Happy snowy Wed! Now that I'm warm inside, it looks so pretty outside!
The road I take to get to Rt.2 hadn't been plowed and it was slippery too. There is a long, gradual hill. I had to slow down because I was swerving, but I was worried I didn't have enough momentum to keep going forward. It ended up okay and no one was around. Luckily even though Rt.2 wasn't plowed either there's enough traffic to create tire tracks to the pavement so that was fine.
It has changed to rain here in Cambridge and there's no snow on the ground.
It was pretty driving in with the snow on the trees. When I left my house this morning at 6:50 we alredy had at least 2 inches of snow on the ground. We'll have fun shoveling later, lol.
I made it in. I would have planned to come in late today if I didn't have to open up the office. I was in at 7:45 which is 15 minutes late. It took me an hour and 15 to get here. I'm more worried about leaving later because the college's parking lots flood easily and we're already in a flood advisory.
I'm working from home. There was probably 3 inches when I woke up and it's been snowing like crazy ever since (I bet we have about 7 inches). There was no way I was making the 30 mile commute!
DH is working from home as well (only because we haven't put the snow tires on his car yet and the tires on his car wouldn't really make it, even though his commute is only 9 miles).
I didn't go in. Our street wasn't plowed until after 10, and when we were shoveling, every car that went by was fishtailing like crazy, so I decided not to risk it- I don't have anything important to do today, anyway. And now it's started to rain and the roads might be icy.
But I'm worried I'll be in trouble. I know one coworker stayed home, but I'm not sure if anyone else did. I guess I can make it a sick day if I have to.

A day late, but..
Seeing as my commute is 4 minutes normally, I can't really complain that it took me more like 10 haha.
I did go to the doctor yesterday, and that only took 20 minutes instead of 15 - so really not too bad at all.
