As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Alyson, is there a way to get rid of the TV banner on the knot? Ever since they upgraded the site, I can't check theknot boards from my office. I think the TV banner may have something to do with it.
Just checking in case there is an easy fix!

i havent been going much on TK since they changed the format. it's a pain in the b*tt :-P
Yeah, there was was a post about this on TK too. The link Lisa provided fixes the TV issue. The TV always pops up if you're still using the old bookmark for TK...
I'm also gradually not on TK anymore after the new site came around. Just too slow and I can't post from my droid.
Whoa! I'd read on another board that a lot of people were unhappy with the new Knot format, but I hadn't actually looked at it. Now I just tried and I keep getting redirected to the Knot's Australia website. WTF? Finally figured out how to get back to the USA site and wow - it really is different! Not my favorite layout, I have to say...
still no such luck.

Maybe it is a sign...though I do love looking at all of the new wedding pics!
what do you mean by, "that actual boards still don't come up."? I found an a previous post on TK about having the page without the tv, and it worked for me when I copied and pasted the web address given. Weirdly, when I just clicked on it, the tv was still there. Let me know what you mean, maybe I can help!

Hey Jen, When I say the boards are not coming up, I mean everything else seems to appear on my screen except the actual posts. I see all of the different TK boards (attire, budget, etc), then special topics, local boards, even some ads. If I click on Local Boards, I get the map & select Hawaii. And same thing...everything but actual posts. It even tells me who recent posters are.
I have tried clicking on old saved links or "threads I'm watching" but nothing brings up the actual posts.
It is probably b/c our browser is seriously out of date. It is just weird b/c the Nest still works just fine...hopefully TK gods don't mess with the Nest too. I would be super bummed if I couldn't check either from work!

but I couldn't just click on it, I had to go to File, then Open, and open a new web page.
hth. TK board seems seriously slow these days, I wonder if this is part of the reason.
I hate the new TK formatting! I can't even log in to post so I really haven't been checking in there.
btw, that's the same link I used to get rid of the tv...
that link does the same thing...no TV, but boards don't load either.
I can still check from home so not too big of a deal.
