I can hear the clocks tick

I can hear two different clocks ticking from where I am sitting at my desk. I still have to work another 2 hours. Stupid 2nd shift!!!!! I really hope I don't get stuck in that snow storm on the way home because I forgot the snow brush at home, lol!!!

Re: I can hear the clocks tick

  • How long are you having to work shifts for?
  • It is just for one week, and it is rotating among a group of about 30 people so it will be 1-2 times per year. We are supposedly covering production, so if a line stoppage requiring our support happens during 2nd shift they won't be held up until the next day. They started this requirement in September and my group hasn't received a single phone call.... hopefully it is cancelled really soon because it is such a waste of time!

Instead I am just doing my regular day job between 3:30pm - 1:30am so if I run into any problems or need something from someone I have to wait until the next day when I overlap for only an hour or two. "Luckily" last night they were actually doing a test on 2nd shift for my regular job, so instead of one of us being on call, I just supported that so it wasn't too bad. I hope the rest of the week is just as busy or I am going to be falling asleep at my desk!!
