Critique my menu?
So, for our Christmas party, I put on the evite we were having heavy hors d'ouevres. My goal is not to feed people dinner, but to provide enough food for them to feel somewhat full and satisfied. What do you think of our menu?
Spicy hummus with cracker
Fruit slasa with cinnamon chips
Bruschetta with various toppings
Pineapple-ham rollups
Apple Cranberry wontons
Cookies
Special K Candy
Chocolate mousse
Margaritas and either Spiked Cider or Hot Butter Rum
We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

Can I have the recipe for the fruit salsa and the wontons? Oh the Special K candy too...if it's not too much trouble!
sounds wonderful! and i'm with PP, could i have the recipe for the apple cranberry wontons, fruit salsa and pineapple ham rollups??
i would maybe add one more "meatier" app - like meatballs or something like that, if i added anything.

Looks great but I would add something a little meatier too...
meatballs, hot wings, empanadas, cocktail sandwiches, etc.

ditto to hawki and the others: maybe add something meatier.... or if you dont want to add more meat, maybe just add something savory, seems like you have several dishes that are sweet or involve fruit.

I think it sounds delicious! We are having a very similar party, and here is our menu:
Spiked Hot Apple Cider
Egg Nog
Champagne Punch
Empanadas
Sweet & Sour Meatballs
Veggies/Dip
Cucumber Sandwiches
Christmas Cookies
Puppy Chow
Cupcakes
I really wanted more food (I would have added chips/salsa/guacamole and a cheese platter) but DH held me back.
