hi ladies-
for those of you that blog i am in awe of your well designed blogs and wondered if you have particular blog softwear that you like and if there are any books to help format design etc....any input would be great thank you

I've started with a very basic template (Minima, I think, on Blogger) and customized all of mine by myself. It's really not that hard, actually - I would just google whatever I wanted to do (like "add numbers to comments in Blogger") and then it's usually just a matter of copying and pasting code, with some occasional troubleshooting.
Or, as Lori says, you can hire someone or just use a free template - there are a TON of both pro designers and free designs out there!
I have a Wordpress blog and used ProPhoto template for my business. It costs close to $180, but it was worth it. Such a clean design and interface and super easy to customize.

I know some other photographers used Blogger and customized by tweaking the HTML in the template to their liking.
