$2735

That's what the car repair will cost, and it'll take about a week. My PIL will lend us the money, but it still means we need to figure out ways to stash money away so we can pay them back.

Any thoughts?? le sigh...

Re: $2735

  • Yiiiiiiiiikes

Do you still owe money on it?

If not I'd go look at new cars...I told myself if my car was under $1000 I would fix it, if it was over that I wouldnt. I think it was like $1500...which I used instead as a down payment on my new car. It just didnt make sense to me to keep pouring money into my car.

  • Ugh that really stinks.  On the brightside, at least you have someone to lend it to ya.

  • Ouch....thats icky timing.  Was it the transmission?
  • Wow.  That is A LOT of money to repair a car with so many miles on it.  Is it even worth that much now?  Did you guys consider buying something else?
  • I have to agree with pp.  My opinion is it's not worth pouring that much money into that car, especially where there are so many miles on it.  Can you make getting another car happen or is this something that is going to have to do for now?  I just hate for more things to happen (it's inevitable with the miles on it) and for you guys to just keep forking out thousands for a car that's not even worth it.
