Vibes and Prayers appreciated!
My mom just texted me and told me that my dad got laid off today. They had told him that he was going to lose his job in Feb. so he knew it was coming but just not this soon. He works for a huge company designing programs for it and they basically had him design one, teach it to others and then eliminated his job. He only gets 4 weeks of severance pay and insurance. My mom does embroidery work out of the house for extra money but it in no way can carry them. My little brother is 15 and in private school. They are really freaking out...so any vibes and prayers are appreciated!

It ticks me off that companies do this and get away with it because they own all thoughts that come out of someone while that person is employed by them. Sending vibes their way!

Oh! So sorry to hear that! Thoughts and prayers are definitely going out to him and your family.
I worked as an underwriter in the mortgage business for 6 years and was laid off 3 times. I know exactly what he is going through. I got out of that industry 3 years ago (thankfully!). My best advice would be to stay positive with him. He will definitely bounce back! And as far as your brother's schooling- can they get a payment deferment until the circumstances change?
