PIP- Our Christmas Trees!
Hey girls want to share photos of your holiday decorations? Here is mine!
Re: PIP- Our Christmas Trees!
Here is our tree, it's a little sad because we don't have many ornaments and haven't put up breakable ones due to the cats, who took 2 ornaments off the tree the first night it was decorated. One cat was playing with a different ornament last night and the other was licking the branches (ew).
They look innocent, but they merely waiting for us to leave the room so they can take over the tree.
And some lights:
LOL, MrsC!
Both of your trees are so pretty! I'll have to take some pictures tonight of ours.
Christar- I love your bookshelves :-)
I don't think we're having a tree this year due to terror kitty... it's just a disaster in the making. I doubt DH would have motivated to get a tree anyway... he keeps talking about it... but nope. I am going to polish my menorah tonight & get it ready for Hannukah!
Here is mine! This is the first tree H and I decorated together since last year we were renting from friends and they had their own. I love it because it's the exact same color scheme as our wedding, haha.
Christa, love your tree but more importantly love the whole look of that room. The paint color, the built-ins, the French doors--love it all!
I've been wanting to do this post for a while now but haven't taken any pics of my decorations yet. I'll get on that ASAP!
our tree!
Pretty! It's so "evenly full!" Does that make sense? H and I tried for so long to make ours look full - I guess that's what happens when you get it out of a box, lol! Is yours real?
haha yes that makes sense!
Ours is not real - but we don't put it back in the box, we just move it to the basement and leave it up (undecorated of course!) in a corner.
That's what my mom used to do! Unfortunately, H and I own a condo so there's *no* storage space. I wonder if he would go for leaving it up all year long in the dining room.......?
I can't wait till we can actually buy a house! But we have to stay for at least three years to keep the stimulus $$$ - sigh. And we were thinking of staying till I was done with grad school - even bigger sigh. Haha.
I was stalking your bio - and your house is so cute! I love it!
Are you a computer analyst? Like a network analyst type thing? That's what MH does - builds and supports computer networks - it's good times! You can tell I don't know that much about it.
Thanks Rock and Lvneveryminiute! I designed those shelves myself!
Mrs C I absolutely love your Christmas tree skirt! It is so full! Where did you get it?
Home Goods. And it was only $20!
I love seeing the trees! We don't have ours yet, but I decorated our mantle- except for the stockings, which we'll hang tonight. I didn't finish making mine until yesterday, and the light's not good enough today for a new picture.
I made 2 gumdrop wreaths (SO fun), decorated all the small votive holders, the large hurricane candle holders were shower/engagement gifts, the glass trees were from our registry that we bought ourselves, I convinced DH to buy the little candle/arrangement thing in the middle at a church fair, and I knit the little santas hanging from the garland.
Today, since I've taken a snow day, I'm making our Christmas cards and will start knitting more santas when I get sick of glue and glitter. And also since it's a snowy day, we won't get our tree tonight, as I'd hoped.
The tree skirt hides the ugly base. Also, if you have a real tree it catches some of the pine needles that fall as it starts to die, so you can just go shake it out outside.
Beautiful trees and decorations ladies! Here's ours
Everyone's trees are beautiful! Here's ours, I still need a topper though..
Oh, and here's our mini-tree with our keepsake ornaments..
don't mind our paint squares
Murray wasnt too sure
Here's our but looking at it now I never realized how skinny the tree looked. Next year we are getting a real one.
All the trees look great! MrsC - the dogs try to eat our tree. Animals are so weird! Also, we got our skirt at HomeGoods too! I love that place hehe.
Here is ours.. it's a little short, oops!
Harwich -
Your dog is just too cute! Our cats didn't know what to do with our tree either! Now they look laying under the tree - I think it's because it's warmer because of the lights.
I love your wedding colors - perfect for the cape! Mine were blue as well! With silver as well and white, obviously.
Thanks! We have a soft snowman ornament that hangs on the lower branches, he goes over and pokes it with his nose but other than that he hasn't really shown interest in the tree. We were actually afraid he was going to pee on it since he pees on everything outside. He recently almost peed on a person at the park and another dog. Embarrassing.
Thanks again! I loved our colors. I should update my bio with some actual wedding pictures.
