I was very shy my first couple of get togethers. In fact, my very first gtg was when I was a knottie and I made then FI come to the restaurant with me and sit at the bar while I ate with the girls!

The first time I met some of the girls I was. I met Belle, Ali and Lima for drinks. I really thought I was going to vomit and I barely said 2 words the entire time.
But it's all good now! Just drink some wine when you get there.

That's a big fat negative. You were there the second time we got together for drinks at Bonefish and Lima was not there that time.
The first time we met up at The Loft at Perkins Rowe. If I recall correctly you were supposed to come to that but had to back out b/c you had to fly home for the weekend. A funeral perhaps...?
Glad I'm not the only one. I'm SUPER nervous and was going to post about it too! I'm quiet and shy-at least until I get to know people a little bit.
Plus, I feel like everyone already knows each other, and I'm the new girl.
Anyway, I've been sort of stressing out about it all week! AND I have no clue what to bring!

And don't stress out about bringing something. I believe Shoe gave you an out since you're bringing the little ones. I think everyone will understand if you don't have time to throw something together.
Yup. Anybody with babes gets a freebie on the food! I expect everyone to keep this in mind for when I have a kid and show up to a GTG wearing 2 different shoes.

ditto. I am not nervous when it comes to meeting one or two people, but when its a big group, I crawl inside my little imaginary shell. This will be my first GTG even though I have been on the board for over a year
Just another one from the peanut gallery here! I was so nervous my first time too, I actually sat in my car outside the restaurant and I still had out of state plates so everyone knew it was me
