Hound Haven near Clermont :)
If anyone is looking to rescue a dog, Hound Haven in Minneola is wonderful to work with. The volunteers take some of their dogs to PetSmart in WG Village every Saturday. They have mostly labs and lab mixes.
We wanted a dog, not a puppy, and we finally adopted one on Friday. They saved her from animal control, updated all her shots and vaccs, microchipped, and spayed her. They also gave us her meds for her skin condition with the refill prescription from the vet they use in Tavares.
They are easy to work with once you get through the insanely long adoption app. Adoption fee is $250.
