New Year Eve Parties?

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have any suggestions for a fun New Years Eve in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky?  My best girlfriend has graciously given up an opportunity to go watch UC play in the Bowl Game to stay home with her boyfriend who couldn't go because he had to work :-( So I thought I'd help her boyfriend out by suggesting some good places he could take her for a great night out!

So far I've found parties at York Street Cafe and The Madison in Covington, but it would be extremely helpful if someone had personal favorites that they suggest.

 Thanks in advance!

Re: New Year Eve Parties?

  • I know there are a couple downtown (like at the Hyatt).  My group is going to Jefferson Hall at the Levee.
  • We have gone to Receptions in Erlanger the past few years and have always had a good time.  It is reasonably priced (usually $110/couple) for appetizers, dinner, dessert, party favors, champagne toast at midnight and all you can drink.  They also have a DJ.

I think the Briarwood still does one, but we stopped going there b/c they let people smoke inside, they oversell and they switch b/w live band and a DJ.  We prefer the music played by the DJ.

  • Friends of mine have a huge party at the CAC -- this is the second annual for them. Its pretty cheap  -- 50 bucks for open bar and apps, includes dj and fun times. I enjoyed it a ton last year, just have to miss it this year. If you are interested shoot me an email   kelklump at gmail. Its a pretty open party, just fills up fast.
  • Lots of the reception halls have parties, so do some of the hotels (then you can crash there!)

  • Thanks for all your suggestions! I will forward them to him and see what he thinks.  Thanks so much again!
  • I know the Madison in Covington usually has a big party. They gave us all kinds of info on it when we got married but that was 2 years ago so I don't know if they still offer that or not.
