Do you wear a watch?

I've been thinking I'm going to ask for one for Christmas. I used to wear one 24/7 when I was in high school and I couldn't live without it. I haven't worn one since and since I have this preoccupation with feeling manly so I feel like a watch would make that worse.

I hate always pulling out my phone to look at the time though so I'm on a mission to find the girliest watch out there.

Any suggestions?

Re: Do you wear a watch?

  • I don't wear one anymore..haven't for years.

That being said, check out Fossil for watches. They have really girly classic looking watches. :)

  • I got a fancy schmancy watch from DH for graduation. I never wore one before then, but now I feel naked without it. Especially teaching little ones, a watch is useful. There's no clock outside, and having your cell out is unprofessional. I had a hard time finding one I liked that wasn't too bulky on my wrist. I think that's the key to finding a feminine watch.
  • I have a very girly watch.  The brand is ESQ --- from Zales maybe?  Anyway, I usually wear it every work day to help manage my teaching time but hardly ever on the weekends.

  • I never wear a watch, I can't stand having stuff on my wrists.  Not even bracelets.  They just annoy me.  I love them on other people though ;)

  • Yep.  I feel naked without my watch.  Although I have to be honest and say that I sometimes have trouble reading the time on it.  B/c I'm actually 9...

Belle, I totally understand where you're coming from with wanting a feminine watch.  I would go to amazon and look at what they call bracelet watches.  I find they are MUCH more feminine than the ones that are all links.  Here's the watch Mr. Shoe bought me a few years ago.  I love it.

  • I cannot leave the house without my watch. I feel so naked without it. I have a Fossil watch from years ago that I just love. It's similar to the one Shoe posted, but it's all links. It has a small rectangle face.

  • I had seiko watch that I was in LOVE with, and I accidently left it in Destin, FL after a vacation a few years ago. I need to go buy another one, bec I also hate to take out my phone just to check time..
  • You will most definitely want one when you're student teaching and teaching, especially since during student teaching you're being observed on time management as well.
