Hang-over cures

Inspired by Karrey's upcoming wild weekend, I thought it would be interesting to post our personal hang-over cures. I have a few.

- While you're partying, a class of water between each drink. I never seem to follow through on this though.

- Gatorade. Lots of gatorade. For the night before and when you wake up. I've heard pedalyte is even better.

- Coconut water. It has electrolytes like Gatorade, but with less sugar.

- McDonald's French Fries. And probably a burger. Greasy food in general. I hate carbs, but I always want something carby the next day.

- Bloody Mary. The spicier the better.

Last night in a magazine I saw breakfast beer as another cure - Guniness with a shot of espresso. There's place near my apartment who makes them.

Re: Hang-over cures

  • I agree with all of yours.  Nothing cures a hangover like starting drinking all over again. LA is pretty well known for it's excessive drinking Wink

Bloody Mary's are the way to go for me.  Extra spices, extra pickles, extra olives, spicy green beans.....the works.  My brother makes the.best.ever.  Lucky for me he is coming to the christmas party so maybe we can get some.

Pickels cure all so that is a natural for me.

When all else fails, puke.  You'll feel much better after. lol

  • I've actually never really been hungover.  I mean the day I got back from Vegas I felt a little sick, but nothing I couldn't handle, it didn't kill me or anything.  You would thinking after drinking a bottle of Captain, or even a bottle of whiskey would do it to me, which I have done both before, numerous times, but nope.

I have heard about the eating greasy food thing, supposedly that helps a lot, and drinking Gatorade or Pedalyte.

  • When I have a bad hangover, something about a McDonalds Coke that does the trick and either a burger or breakfast sandwich.

  • A double cheeseburger, large fries, and Diet Coke from McDonalds and/or Hardees seems to help me.

Or a yummy spicy bloody mary like Karrey said.  Mmm....now I want a bloody mary!  One of the restaurants here does a bloody mary bar every Sunday morning and I've always wanted to go!

  • Bloody Mary's or beers. It's sick, but it's the only thing that works other than a nap.

  • I don't go for hangover cures, I go for prevention lol.

Any night I go out drinking, I drink at least 2 glasses of water before bed. Also, if I feel sick, I just puke. Makes me feel better and sleep well.

  • Lots of water before, during, and after drinking! And a breakfast burrito from this kick-a$$ Mexican food stand near my place :).
  • I drink a nice tall glass of water before I pass out for the night.  Helps with next day cotton mouth so well!
  • Hydration is key since alcohol dehydrates you.  I will typically drink a full gallon of orange juice the day following a binge (which has been a loooong time).  Lots of water helps too.
