So what's everyone up to this weekend?
Tonight M and I are going to TGIF's with some friends for good food, good drinks and good times.
Tomorrow we are going to finish up our Christmas shopping (hopefully) then we are babysitting our niece tomorrow afternoon.
Sunday will probably be just a relax day, unless we have to babysit again.
Re: The weekend.
Today I'm meeting DH for lunch, then driving up to see my parents.
Tomorrow we're going to a pastry chef school where my best friend works to do a sampling (and holy cow it's amazing, I've been to one of these before and it's a HUGE spread of pastries and sweets ::drool::). Other than that, maybe doing some final Christmas shopping and decorating the house.
Sunday, it's supposed to be crappy weather so we may end up staying home.
Tonight: Leaving Atlanta at 4pm and hoping I get out on time considering all the crappy snow in Chicago. Going home, taking a shower, unpacking, popping open a bottle of wine and RELAXING to the max. We just got a Wii so I'm thinking M and I will play some games together. I also need to put the stamps on our Christmas cards (they are all addressed) so maybe we can do that while we catch up on the week.
Tomorrow: All my college friends are going to something called "The 12 Bars of Christmas" which sounds incredibly unfun to me. I'm all for day drinking, but not "crawling" per se - I've retired from those. My best friend and I might just go sit at one bar and wait for them to "crawl" by, then go home. Saturday night I want to go see "Up in the Air" with M since it is my life right now!
Sunday: Yoga in the morning, then I want to go out for brunch afterward. My brother is coming over and we are going to build a gingerbread house. I will probably have some freelance stuff to work that evening on as well.
All in all, a low-key weekend ... I couldn't handle much more right now!
today-taking niece out to lunch-she's at college nearby... and grocery shopping-ugh... and a work out of some kind for this lazy a$$.
Tonight-the kids will be over-they're bringing their Wii-why? we have two PS2's here, they each have DS's and board games... yeah. oh, decorate the tree... (sorry I'm a tad grumpy...)
Sat-work... then maybe do a gingerbread house or bake some cookies with one of the 3 kids...
Sun-seeing the Nutcracker with DH and SD. and need to clean at some point.
Tonight - Some christmas shopping and then a low key night at home.
Tomorrow - Finish painting and cleaning around the house during the day. Then tomorrow night going to dinner and maybe out for a few drinks, something we haven't done in forever.
Sunday - Finishing xmas shopping, grocery shopping and picking my son up from his dads.
Tonight - the girls are performing at half time of the basketball tournament.
Tomorrow - taking all of the girls' Christmas presents to a shelter if they don't have their rooms and rec room clean. I gave them specific things to do yesterday and not one got done. If they can't keep what they have clean, they don't need more stuff.
Sunday - football! Hopefully get the tree up.
Tonight: making some soup and playing Wii since we already got a gift for Chrstimas. Oh and packing for Saturday.
Saturday: Relaxing and then heading down to NOLA for my work Christmas party. It is always a blast and partying the night away in the quarter afterwards isnt to shabby either. This year it is at a 5 star rest. so I am really excited about that plus Co. puts us up in a nice hotel so we can party to our hearts content. We have a pretty wild bunch and for some of them, this is the only day of the year sans kids so they usually end up bringing up the sun. Good times.
Sunday: Recovery from said party. I never do quite well on the drive back home, lol. I am taking it easy this year though so it wont be so bad. We will probably browse around some and then grab a good bight to eat then head back.
I'm still feeling sick so as soon as I am done with my presentation, I am going home and resting.
Tomorrow I have a cookie party and will go if I'm well.
Otherwise I am relaxing and sleeping this weekend. Hoping to be better soon.
We actually have stuff going on this weekend!
Tonight is the Xmas party for DH's work. No cooking for me, woot!
Tomorrow is my usual, stuff around the house
Sunday we have a shower. DH's coworkers decided we needed one, and I hear desserts are the menu. Yum! I'll probably make carrot cake to share (I've been thinking about making it since Karrey mentioned it in my blog, ha! Thanks, Karrey!)
Tonight: I think we might go to a music performance at a chruch in Greenpoint, but I'm afraid it's going to be overrun by hipsters and really crowded . . . plus I'm pretty sure I'll be sitting on a basement floor. Fun . . .
Saturday: Breakfast and then Christmas craft fair in the neighborhood . . . probably branching out to other craft fairs to Christmas shop.
Sunday: Probably football and more Christmas shopping/assmbling my Chrismtas cards
Tonight: relaxing and drinking lots of wine
Saturday: cleaning, running errands, watching football, having some friends over for dinner
Sunday: laundry, football
It doesn't sound too exciting, but it's our last weekend before Ned's brother/SIL/our niece come to town for the holidays, so it will be nice to just get some things done and then relax!
Tonight: hanging out.
Saturday: Christmas shopping; college hockey game (club seats)
Sunday: wrapping presents and baking cookies!
My weekend is chock full of studying, with a small cookie making break at SIL's house.
