Neew help for Dad's 50th Bday -- hotel in Philly...
My mom wants to take my Dad to Philly for his 50th and surprise him with 10 of their friends, go to dinner and back to a hotel to stay the night that has some kind of entertainment (comedian, band, etc). I can't find any hotel that does this and the only comedy club I know of in Philly is Helium.
Any suggestions?

hmmm, most hotel bars i know will not have that type of entertainment. A few places, like Loew's etc have a separate bar that is attached to the hotel, but i don't know that they have any bands etc, just a very cool bar/restaurant. You might need to look into ajacent places with the entertainment.
And yes, the only comedy cub I know is Helium.
I stayed at the Lowe's for a wedding that I was in and it was just a really fun hotel. The bar was a blast too. I agree with finding an adjacent place for entertainment. You may want to call the hotel to see if can recomment something. Good luck,
