A Poll for Friday!

I haven't posted anything fun for awhile, but given all the action on our board yesterday I thought this might be fun.

1) Wine, Beer, other or neither?

2) Cat or Dog?

3) Traditional meal for Christmas Eve?

4) Meal for Christmas Day?

5) Coffee, Tea, other?

6) Hawaii or Europe?

7) Gym or Outdoor activities?

8) Any plans for your upcoming first anniversary yet?

Feel free to elaborate on why you picked what you did! I think the traditional Christmas Eve meals will be espeically interesting because there is such a variety of things people have:)

Re: A Poll for Friday!

  • 1) Wine, Beer, other?or neither? Wine, almost always. Or a margarita ;)2) Cat or Dog? We have 2 cats, but I would love love love a dog. I have been watching Dogs 101 in an effort to research what type of dog I would like, but I think small to medium (with a non-drooly mouth no higher than my knee) hahaha.... when we have a house someday3) Traditional meal for Christmas Eve? Actually, Christmas Eve is usually pizza and roast beef, we keep it pretty low key.4) Meal for Christmas Day? mmm turkey at my?grandma's?and usually ham at my aunt's5) Coffee, Tea, other? tea, pretty much any kind, flavor or color.?6) Hawaii or Europe? ?Either, please! But if you were giving away a free trip to me right now, I would choose Europe.7) Gym or Outdoor activities? Outdoor activities8) Any plans for your upcoming first anniversary yet? I said we should go to Disney, but that is a little too expensive right now. We did talk about going to Niagara on the Lake and staying at a B&B for a day or two, and maybe going to the Ice Wine festival. Although that would be in January, so its an early present... Maybe.?

  • 1) Wine, Beer, other or neither? It's hard to pick because I do like both. If I must pick, probably red wine. A close second is Blue Moon (in a glass) with a slice of orange.

    2) Cat or Dog? Dog  - our 15 month old Wellington to be exact. However growing up my parents always had tons of cats running around the farm.

    3) Traditional meal for Christmas Eve? At my parents it is always BBQ ribs. I am not sure why, but they have done it for years. We serve them with a lot of holiday-type sides like potatos, corn, rolls, squash, desserts, etc.

    4) Meal for Christmas Day? I depends, usually a ham or roast pork dinner with all the trimmings.

    5) Coffee, Tea, other? I am a coffee freak.

    6) Hawaii or Europe? I would pick Europe any day. Everyone always say Hawaii is so wonderful (and I'm sure it is) but DH and I are huge history and site-seeing people more than beach people.

    7) Gym or Outdoor activities? Outdoors for sure!

    8) Any plans for your upcoming first anniversary yet? Convenient that my work trip to New Orleans and Atlanta falls Jan 25 - 29th. So that is our early anniversary trip. (Maybe I forgot to say.. but because of the nature of the trip DH can come with me!!! Super exciting!) I have a feeling on the actual day - Feb 7th - we will just try to spend the day together.

  • 1) Wine, Beer, other or neither? eh, i like some wine, but i mostly drink liquor/mixed drinks

    2) Cat or Dog? dogs- cats drive me crazy

    3) Traditional meal for Christmas Eve? We don't usually.

    4) Meal for Christmas Day? uhm, we havent for the last couple of years. we used to always go to a family members house, but my aunt and uncle got divorced last year and that kinda put a damper on everything. This year we are not doing any formal meals that I know of. Not with my family atleast, and I don't know, or care about DH family. ...bah-humbug.

    5) Coffee, Tea, other? right now im on a hot tea kick, mostly bc im sick. but otherwise i will drink coffee every now & then.

    6) Hawaii or Europe? uhm.. thats a tough one. I love tropical, but 'm sure Europe would be amazing. I think i'd go w/ Europe, there would be so much to see & do there!

    7) Gym or Outdoor activities? outdoor, i don't enjoy the gym.

    8) Any plans for your upcoming first anniversary yet? nope- i doubt we will do anything. i'm sure we will be deep into buying our home so we will need any and all extra money!

  • 1) Wine, Beer, other or neither? usually it would depend on my mood and where we are, but since I can't drink now it's shirley temples for me

    2) Cat or Dog? dog

    3) Traditional meal for Christmas Eve? my family is italian so we eat yummy italian food--homemade gravy (sauce), meatballs, sausage, manicotti...so good

    4) Meal for Christmas Day? what ever my MIL is cooking

    5) Coffee, Tea, other? tea

    6) Hawaii or Europe? tough, I'm thinking right now if I could go anywhere I would like hawaii

    7) Gym or Outdoor activities? outdoor

    8) Any plans for your upcoming first anniversary yet? no, haven't really thought about it.

  • 1) Wine, Beer, other or neither?never beer-yukk. wine with dinner out sometimes, otherwise I vary what I drink a lot. sometimes I like margaritas, other times hard cider, other times I'll get a mixed drink like amaretto and oj, or malibu & pineapple. it all depends on my mood 2) Cat or Dog?Dog definitely. I like cats, but I have a mild allergy(itchy eyes). DH has a bad allergy to cats and to some dogs, so if/when we do get a dog it has to be a hypoallergenic (or short haired) breed  3) Traditional meal for Christmas Eve?don't have one. growing up I don't recall there being a pattern other than if we were at my grandma's house there would be tourtierre (meat pie) available.my stepmom's family goes out for Chinese food on Christmas Eve. We did that when we there the 2 times I had christmas there. And with MIL, who I've spent 3 of the last 4 Christmasses with, we usually go out to dinner then too (but we go out to eat every time we see her) 4) Meal for Christmas Day?growing up it was always turkey with all the trimmings. In Canada Thanksgiving is in October, so its been 6 weeks since we last had turkey, not like here where a lot of people have just finished all their turkey soups!Lately tho, with MIL, she gets a crown roast from a German Deli near her and cooks that up. She also makes some kind of soup each year and her father makes this really great saurkraut dish and amazing potato salad.  5) Coffee, Tea, other?Coffee in the mornings, tea when I'm sick. Sometimes coffee in the evenings after dinner if others are having it. (especially with Baileys!  even though now I'm supposed to have caffeine in moderation) 6) Hawaii or Europe?never been to Hawaii but I would choose Europe in a heart beat!! So much culture, so much amazing food and a more moderate climate.  7) Gym or Outdoor activities?depends. I love to be out doors but not in bad weather. In the gym playing basketball would be fun. LOL A work out gym if I have the time and can fit it into my budget and schedule I would. 8) Any plans for your upcoming first anniversary yet?dinner at the restaurant in the hotel we got married in
