Sorry about my odd posts earlier...

I was having strange computer issues.

So... DH and I are getting to go on a last minute trip to NYC.  We'll be in the city all day Monday and Wednesday... since it's quick I don's want to plan too much out... we'll kinda see what we're feeling like each day... BUT I have been gathering people's favorite places/things to do.  If you've been, let me know what your favorites are!!

Re: Sorry about my odd posts earlier...

  • Eat, shop, people watch.
    Matt loves Munkii!!!
  • Those are the only items on the MUST DO list.  Smile
  • Ok, then restaurant recommendation: Red Bamboo.  The BEST vegan food evar.
    Matt loves Munkii!!!
  • This may seem like a no brainer and/or not that exciting, but you gotta see Time Square.
  • I'll add that to the possibles list then.  We're not vegan but we do end up eating a fair amount of vegan dishes.  Thanks!
  • Central park and Rockefeller Center.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • My favs were the Naked Cowboy in Times Square. Taking the Ferry over to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty in which you gotta buy the Statue of Liberty American Flag sunglasses, green sponge Statue of Liberty hat, then take a picture in front of the Statue of Liberty.  And eating a hotdog on a bench in Central Park.
  • Tourist things?  No!

    Matt loves Munkii!!!
  • I'm so jealous! DH and I got married at Tavern on the Green and it's closing forever at the end of the month! Every time I think about it, I get all sappy. :(  While Tavern on the Green is definitely gimicky, it might be fun to see it before it becomes something else. It's such a landmark, and I think it's really beautiful... but I'm from NJ so take that with a grain of salt lol.

I would also HIGHLY recommend going to the Frick museum if you like art. It is the personal collection in what was the private residence of Andrew Carnegie's partner. You can get sooo close to the paintings, and it's never really packed.

Also, we all LOVE carnegie deli. Definitely go and get a rueben sandwich and a piece of cheesecake!

Ooooh. And if you want to see a broadway show, you can go to the ticket place in times square and usually get really amazing deals for shows even the day of. A couple that were in our wedding party got tickets the day of for the guitar hero show... i forget what it's called.... but they were in the first row and the tickets were super cheap!!!

Let me know how it goes! SOOOO jealous!
