Re: Egg Nog

  • My boss totally just caught me posting this...  And laughed at the last option.
  • Milky liquor just weirds me out for some reason.

  • LOL @ getting caught.

I love me some (heavily) rum spiked egg nog.

  • I like egg nog, in very small doses.  I can never have more than a old fashioned glass before I am done and usually I can only do it once.  Not sure why because I really love the taste of it.
  • I've never had it before so I don't know how I'd like it : ) I'm hoping to try it this year... M's family is all about eggnog during the holidays.

  • I have never had home made egg nog - that skeeves me out.  But the pastuerized stuff I can handle a little bit of.  It reminds me of cement mixers except without all the booze.
  • Too much dairy.

  • I love eggnog. I bought a 1/2 gallon 2 weeks ago. I still have some left though. I can only drink a small glass at a time and I actually prefer it not spiked.
  • I absolutely love it, which is why I buy the low fat version.  Still not great for you, but I don't feel as bad drinking it.

My aunt makes the best homemade eggnog.  It's so creamy and you can feel your arteries clogging.  Haha!

  • First you should know there is no egg nog without liquor in Mexico. There was always a bottle to share for Chistmas, and we kids always got a taste of it. We, of course, knew it had alcohol, so we enjoyed it very much, with small sips to make it last. And then we would try to get more, haha. Yum!

I just tried the regular one here a few weeks back, and it's alright, but for me it's all about the memories egg nog brings back, so it must have alcohol.

  • I like it spiked and hot (N will drink it any way - cold, hot, spiked, plain), but what I really love during the holidays is hot buttered rum!
