Gift Ideas for Prego Sister?

Hey Girls--

Any Christmas gift ideas for a pregnant woman? (ie: my sister who's due at the end of March). Figured that since we have a lot of mamas on the board, who better to ask!

We have a $40 spending limit. Things I thought of so far:

-Gift Certificate to use towards a massage

-Gift Card for things @ Sephora (so she can buy whatever she wants to pamper herself)

-Putting together a little "relaxation" gift basket (bubble bath, fav candy, book?)

-Spending a little more than limit and getting a cute diaper bag (for mom AND baby--if so, ideas for type? style? where to buy?)

Any other ideas? What would've helped you the most when you were 6mos pregnant?

TIA =)

Re: Gift Ideas for Prego Sister?

  • I like your relaxation ideas.  I would personally LOVE a gift certificate for a mani/pedi.... especially the pedi part.

To be honest, for Christmas, I don't think I want anything baby-related.  Selfish, I know.  ;)

  • I like the massage gift certificate idea...or she could use it for a pedicure?  Sephora is always a good choice, too, because who doesn't love Sephora?

  • I love going to Sephora so I like that idea the best.  Stick out tongue

  • I would have loved to have gotten a prenatal massage when I was PG - just make sure the place you get the GC to has someone licensed to do prenatal massage.  It's something she probably wouldn't get on her own so that's what I like about it

    Ditto this!

  • I also agree with pp that the relaxation/pampering ideas (massage and Sephora) are great. You can save the diaper bag idea for the baby shower and give something that's just for her for Christmas =)

  • I would be ALL OVER a gift certificate for something like a mani/pedi...a massage I can make Ben give me, but it's getting harder to touch my toes lol.

    I also agree with this:

I know it's probably really selfish and won't happen anyway, but I kinda want Xmas presents for me, you know?

  • Thanks for the feedback girls!

I'll probably end up doing either the pedi/mani or prenatal massage. I asked my BIL what he thought she'd like more, and he responded, "a wii game!" Hmm...Hmm
