What do you think of the Boppy pillow?
I've seen it a couple times at Ross' for about $23 (with cover), but I recall hearing mixed reviews. Just wondering whether or not it's worth picking up the next time I see one...
Re: BR: Boppy Opinions
For me it's a "must" - so useful! I couldn't have gotten through feedings without it. I even took it on airplanes when we flew, it was that important
SP still uses it, it's in his little tent and he lays on it all the time.
I think it depends on the person and their body shape. I would definitely recommend a nursing pillow regardless of what you get but I like the "My Brest Friend" nursing pillow better than the boppy. It seems to fit my body type better and has back support on it. with the boppy, the baby can tend to fall into the crevice between the pillow and your body a little bit, at least w/me. I also love that the MBF pillow has a little pocket where you can put things - at first I thought that I wouldn't use it b/c it's so small, but I love keeping burp cloths there - it really comes in handy since she always spits up a little or some milk leaks out around her mouth when she nurses.
That said, i do have both... I keep one upstairs and one downstairs so I can easily nurse w/o having to run and grab a pillow. I don't dislike the boppy, I just like the MBF pillow more
not sure if that helps at all?

I agree with Jamie... I have 2 boppys (!) but i like the My Brest Friend better .. . .for nursing, at least.
With that being said, we used the boppy for breast feeding at first, for tummy time here and there and now we use it to prop her up when she's tripoding.
Buy it at Ross-- what a great price!

I used a b/f'ing pillow too and I never went anywhere without it! It was indespensable!
However, I used the Milk Bar Breastfeeding pillow. I compared it with the My Brest Friend and the Boppy at the store and it came up trumps as the best one for me.
I used it until Maya was about 6-7 mths old.

Yes! Please let me know if you do. You can message me through FB with your stash and your prices. That'd be great!

we use it for tummy time mostly, occasionally for feeding if we need a free hand for a few minutes... so yeah we use ours daily.
i didn't find it helpful when breastfeeding, though

Some people like the Boppy for nursing and others like My Breast Friend... You might just have to try both and see what you like.
I happen to like the Boppy. I have never tried MBF b/c the Boppy works great so there doesn't seem like a need. I don't think I'd like the buckle on the back of the MBF and that it's more stiff. I tend to use the Boppy everywhere so I like to squish it into my computer chair, for example, which you couldn not do with the MBF pillow.
I have 2 Boppies, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. Using it now actually, so Alexa can nurse while I type. :-)

Thanks everyone.... especially Brooke's mama Lori!
Funny thing is we just got a MBF from a friend tonight, so looks like we'll be able to try out both. Awesome!
