Is anyone else having little to no traffic on their board? The etiquette board has just been unusually dead this week, even the regs aren't posting. I just wonder if it's all across the boards or just us. It's so boring!
Re: Dead boards
My board has been slow the past few months from so many people getting married and moving over to the nest.
I think in January it'll pick up again with all the Christmas and New Years engagements.

Yeah kinda. I don't know either...I know it is the holiday season...but I know some girls have not come on as much since the change!

I would bet the holidays have a lot to do with it.
R&G is usually slow but was busier than normal last week. Now it's dead again. Go figure.
After the holidays I'm sure there will be an influx of newly engaged people, so that might pick things up a bit.

Both of my locals are dead. Like, 1 - 2 post per week dead. I know most of the regs have an offboard, and I'm thinking with the format change they've abandoned TK.
Dresses may be easier to take in than let out, but guest lists are not. -- kate51485
Mine was dead to begin with, but had definitely become worse lately, although I can't say for sure it's because of the changeover.
I posted a "who is still here?" roll call on Tuesday, and as of now, have only 13 posts! Some have mentioned being busy with school/work/holidays, but I suspect we lost many during the switch.
It's painfully dead in Maine.
I've initiated the 5 most recent posts - and that's all the traffic the board has had in a week!

My board has been very dead as of late. All we get are "drive by" vendor rec inquiries. But since the change it has been a ghost town - the few regulars we had left all basically said this was the encouragement they needed to move on, and they won't be coming back. We average one new topic a day....
:-(
I tried a Roll Call post as well and it's taken over a week to get 26 replies. Which is so sad, because when I was planning our board had 2-3 pages of new posts per day!! It hasn't been that busy in a while, but lately it's been painfully slow.
Agreed, Cincy is dead. I remember last year, and it wasn't this slow. Everyone says it's too slow.

We definitely always have a traffic drop during this time and I think that coupled with the new format is making it a bit slower.
As lots of mods in this post have said, it's a good time to encourage lurkers to come out, post thought provoking discussions or polls you know most brides will want to answer.

My boards were pretty dead before the new board change, and then they were merged and a new board was created. So, was this ever a tough time to convince people to come to a new board!
I'm trying to give the few regulars we have some encouragement and keep them entertained.
I have a good feeling that things will turn around soon. I've seen things pick up just a little over the past couple weeks.
