We were outbid on the first house we put a bid on. Someone offer cash +30K over the asking price. Ummm yeah we can't compete with that much cash! Yesterday we back out and found 3 potentials. The first one we really liked & needed no work. We felt we would be out bid again. Very low price & excellent inside.
Our third pick we are putting in an offer today. After we looked at the house we went to Home Depot to price check the things we would need to upgrade. The main bathroom has 1970's brown toilet & sink. The living room has Christmas red carpet. I couldn't help but crack up. The house is in good condition just needs upgrades.
I feel less nervous today about putting in an offer.
Re: Offer #2
I'm sorry, that sucks!
But if it's worth anything, we bought a house with UGLY burgandy carpet knowing full well we'd eventually replace it, we just knew we wanted a dog first and for her to be out of the puppy phase....so in like a year we'll recarpet everything, but we will have been here 3 years with it like this
Boo that sucks! What you dont have $30+ cash in your back pocket? lol
thats ok though, we were outbid on our first house choice too but theres a reason for everything and i'm glad we were bc i like our current house.
you'll find something!
when we were about to put in our 1st offer, I was so super nervous. But when we got to the 2nd one, I felt so much more calm.
