Do you like... (cause I'm bored)
...(trying to think of more 'traditional' holiday foods here)
eggnog? Fruit cake? candy canes? hot toddys? apple cider? Plum pudding? Mincemeat Pies? King's Cake (or 3 kings cake?)? Chocolate Oranges?
and if you come up w more unusual or just holiday foods... just list them!
Re: Do you like... (cause I'm bored)
I can't stand fruit cake. I've never had mincemeat pies, but I like the rest of the stuff on your list.
DH's SIL is British and I've tried some God-awful British holiday food. Can't think of the names right now, but they were horrendous.
Love Eggnog and apple cider
Candy canes are ok. I like the starbursts ones, but something about the flavors of them I just done care for in general. Usually I love sucker type candy.
Never had fruit cake, plum pudding, mincemeat pies, or chocolate oranges
Never heard of hot toddys or king's cakes
I like eggnog, candy canes, apple cider, and hot buttered rum
I don't care for fruit cake, and I've never had plum pudding, mincemeat pie, or king's cake.
My grandma used to make this pastry/cinnamon rollish dessert on Christmas Eve, and I can't remember the name. . . It was like a cinnamon roll, but not as good, and you didn't slice it into rounds before baking - you just shape it like a wreath. . . Arg. It's going to drive me nuts now. . . HALP!
Yeah, not a fan of plum pudding, or fruit cake... Like the first sets of stuff I listed...
Saw the King's Cake-thought of the NOLA gals-you do that down there, right? Or wrong?...
yum: eggnog, cider, candy canes
yuck: fruitcake, mincemeat
never had: plum pudding, choc oranges, hot toddys or king's cakes
Ehh ok...- eggnog, apple cider
Love- candy canes
Never Had- Fruit cake
Never heard of- hot toddys, Plum pudding, Mincemeat Pies, King's Cake, Chocolate Oranges?
We're Norwegian so we have lots of 'interesting' holiday foods: lutefisk, lefse, krumkake and rommegrot, just to name a few. I'm not a fan of lutefisk or lefse.
Out of the foods you listed, I really only enjoy candy canes and apple cider. I eat one mini peppermint candy cane each year at the holiday lights display and I'm good until next year. I do love the fruity candy canes, though. Apple cider I'm a HUGE fan of but it makes me really sick.

I go apesh*t over mulled apple cider. Spiked or not spiked, it is my favorite.
