Who would you draft?

I know that the season isn't over for most of you guys. As far as my team, the Jags, they will either choke their way out of the playoffs or squeeze themselves in there. Hopefully they will beat the Colts on Thursday. ::starting the prayers right now::

If you had to choose your team's first round pick who would it be? The Jags need a quarterback. The governor of Florida is insisting that we pick Tebow. I am a gator by marriage and I still say no. The only reason why they would pick him is to help ticket sales. They better try to draft Colt McCoy if they know what is good for them.

  • LOL, for real?  You'd think Crist would have other things with which to preoccupy himself...

Draft Colt (or Bradford, depending on his status) as QB, and Tebow as tight end.  It's a win-win.  Yes

I thought he would have better things to do as well.

You would think that the U.S. Senate would have better things to do than legislating a football playoff.

    agreed

  • Buffalo desperately needs a QB and some experience on the offensive line. However, I think they need some experience at both positions, so I wouldn't go out and draft for those positions - they need to pick them up in the off-season. So, I must turn to defense where our run-defense is pretty much awful.

I'll first state, I'm a husker hater, so what I'm about to say is pretty much unheard of and I will never actually have this come out of my mouth in spoken words. However . . . K - please don't read this . . . I think Buffalo's best move is to trade up to draft (gulp) - Suh. There, I said it. I can't believe I would ever admit to that. I can just see K (BoutTime) right now with the biggest grin on her face :-). FYI K - I still don't like the Huskers, but I can recognize talent when I see it haha ;)

  • I'm a Lions fan.  While we have a decent quarterback in Stafford when he's healthy, and Johnson is a great wide receiver, our defense needs a whole lot of work.  The Ravens ran all over us this past Sunday.  I swear we couldn't stop a fly!  I don't know players well enough to figure out who we should draft.  I just know our defense needs help.

It breaks my heart to see him there, but that's a whole other thread for another day.

  • Now that there's been all this talk about Tebow in Jax, it's going to piss off some fans if he doesn't end up there. But in the end, a winning team is going to boost sales no matter who is there.  So if it's McCoy or Bradford or Tebow or someone else, it's going to take wins to sell tickets.  And I totally agree that Crist shouldn't get involved politically.
