Does anyone have any recommendations for hot tea that actually tastes like something? It seems like everything I buy just takes like hot water.
Re: Tea
Me too. I'm not a huge tea drinker but I have always liked Celestial Seasonings Sleepy Time tea. My mom has a million flavors of different kinds of tea but I always try them and prefer the Celestial Seasonings. It can be a really personal thing though.
Are you looking for flavored tea or just black tea? Tea bags I'm partial to Tetley. I drink tea with milk and sugar, though, so I guess it has other flavor for me. I love Darjeeling and Orange Peekoe, too.
Flavored tea - Harney and Sons makes great tea - you can get it at the coffe shop in Barnes and Nobel. I love their hot orange spice. It's really good with a little bit of honey.
Wegmans has a little tea shop in the store. They also sell tea mugs that come with a basket if you want to try loose leaf tea. I think if you get tea from England, it tends to be stronger.
I see your pregnant - when I was pregnant, I was leary about almost anything but different types of black teas, because there are certain herbs that you're not supposed to have. You probably already know this, but it can make finding an herbal tea a pain.
I like teas from Teas Etc, I buy it at Kimmans in York but you can order online. Right now I am enjoying chamomile lavender. This website is nice because it has a caffeine strength bar for each tea.
I also like the loose teas at Wegmans. I really liked the earl gray at Starbucks (it has lavender in it) but for some reason non-decaf earl gray gets me very wired. So I mixed decaf earl gray and lavender from Weggies to make my own version.
This Tea Forte is divine but it is expensive.
This. In fact, I LOVE the sleepytime tea. Add a bit of honey and sugar and it is the best I've had so far :-)
This.
But also, I would highly suggest that you do now get tea pre-packaged in a tea bag if you can avoid it. You will have a lot more flavor.
