Picking an OB in Manhattan?
Blood work is still pending, but I'm almost positive that I'm pregnant! 
I had been seeing an OB/GYN that I'm not crazy about just because she's been very, very convenience (a block from my apt, has early hours, etc.). I don't think this is the doctor I want to go through pregnancy with and deliver my baby. I also don't really have any friends, family or co-workers who I can ask for recommendations. So, how did any Manhattanites on here pick an OB? I'm thinking that the first step is to call my GP, who I do like and is associated with a great hospital (Mt. Sinai) for a recommendation.

I had my son with Dr. Edmund Kaplan and I LOVE Him! his office is at 72nd and 5th and assoicated with Lenox hill Hospital. I had a great experiance with him and the hospital. GL!

I am using a midwife, so unfortunately can't recommend an OB/GYN. My midwife, and a lot of others I know are associated with St. Vincents which I have heard has a good labor/delivery ward and are or have opened a new birthing center.
