Re: Wow- its Tuesday

  • So- work sucked so bad yesterday I called in sick today- then came in anyway, lol.  Long story short- one of my CWs is one of the most obnoxious people I've ever met (always touching my arm, reading my emails over my shoulder, makes comments about my time when I come in/leave- even take restroom breaks (even though I'm not late and don't leave early), self absorbed, and on and on)... and yesterday she almost pushed me over the edge, lol!

When I got home, I had a mini-meltdown right in front of DH, then we went to the gym, lol.  We got home and I made moroccan food- yum, and watched a movie.

While we were watching the movie, I got up to cook bacon so I can make chocolate covered bacon for my dad's Christmas present- its a gag gift- DH is a vegetarian, so my dad is always teasing him about conversion to carnivore, and H always gets him some sort of bacon product for Christmas and various holidays- because my family seemingly puts bacon on everything, lol!  Past bacon gifts have been: gummy bacon, shelf-stable bacon, a plastic pig, a bacon figurine (we found a bacon vs. tofu action figure set even!)

  • lena-that sucks about your cw! Hopefully things will change soon.

As for my day I ended up taking Joaquin to the dr. His eczema just seemed to be getting worse, so the dr prescribed some lotion and gave us some other tips.  Afterwards we went to target to get his prescription, return some stuff and spend some more money. But I did get DH's final present and got a pretty good deal on it. Than to sonic for some corndogs and a mint blast.
Unfortunately I totally forgot that Isabel was going to pick out some tools to get her Daddy for Christmas and she keeps reminding me so it looks like we will be going back to the store today. Today I am wiped. Isabel was up until at least 11:45 last night, maybe later but I fell asleep. That's what I get for letting her nap till 6.

But the good news is I dropped another 2 lbs and I had to make my belt one notch tighter :)

  • Yay for smaller belt notch Kat! WTG! Bring on the Wii Fit!

Awww- it is too cute that Isabel wants to get her daddy tools- guess its a very daddy present- I still get mine tools pretty much every Christmas :) Sorry about J's eczema :( No fun!  Hope the medicine helps!

  • Last night I hosted a Christmas Dinner for the girls. It was very nice. Tonight, no real plans. A nap sounds very nice right now, hehe. I really need to finish my Christmas crafts so I probably should go to Michaels and pick up the supplies that I ran out of.

Sounds nice- what kind of crafts are you doing- or are they secret?!

I wanted to do a craft this year- Christmas ornaments- but I couldn't find satin-covered ornaments anywhere this year- and they were WAY too expensive online!

  • I have two projects I am working on. I am making 2 Christmas tree cones. So it's a styrofoam cone which I wrapped in yarn and this garland (i actually have no clue what it's actually called though). It's not beads but it's these really small pices of plastic strung on string and are gold. My second project is just painting wood letters to spell out Joy.

  • Good morning!  I've had a horrible headache and thank goodness the excedrin
kicked in!  Sarah got up late so C took her to school - he's home sick today with a bad cold.
My mom comes today!  Yay!!  I can't wait!!  I go pick her up at about
12:30pm in Ontario.  I've been telling Sarah that "grandma is coming!"
so she'll be excited to see her!
Otherwise, just work today and more cleaning up of the house tonight.
It's a mess since we've still got our suitcases and other stuff out
    from our trip.
Hope everyone has a good day!
