Has anyone had hardwood flooring installed recently? If so, who did you use and would you recommend them? TIA!
Re: hardwood flooring
We just did ours in August - bought from Simply Floors in West Chester on the recommendation of another Nestie. We also used their installers.
We were happy with the price and the finished product, though we had to get on the installers about some mistakes that they didn't want to fix. There was a nail sticking through one of the boards in the middle of the floor, and they managed to knock a hole in our bathroom and break one of our basement steps. It definitely required some supervision.

We used Shaw in June and would recommend them. It's a local family business and they were reasonably priced vs. others that we looked at. Adam Shaw and another guy did an excellent job installing, sanding, staining, and sealing our site-finished hardwood floors. They were reco'd by a friend who had them install pre-finished so they do both. They also did floors in a Homearama house this year and have seen some coupons in magazines recently.

We used Simply Floors in West Chester too. We had a pretty good experience, and their prices were the best we found. There were a few little things that had to be addressed during installation, but I've found that to be the case with most major jobs we've had done at our house. I'd go back to Simply Floors for sure. Good luck!
