Deanna... or who ever else wants to hear my whine
Most importantly congrats on having a schedule d-day! It's wonderful to know your LO will be here so soon, and just in time for Christmas! I'm honestly excited for you!
I'm also honestly very, very jealous. I had a terrible 38 week appointment today. There are four docs in my group, all of whom I've always liked if not loved. Today was the end of that for me and I'll be scheduling around this one doc from now on. He didn't touch me at all and was very dismissive when I asked pretty basic questions... ugh... and his first words were that he hopes I expect to be pregnant well into Jan- um, yeah, no I'm hoping not... gee thanks.
Re: Deanna... or who ever else wants to hear my whine
That really stinks, Alicia...what an @$$!
Chase will be here before you know it
Since I picked a practice that had 6 doctors/NP's, I have realized that some of them have zero bedside manors. Everything has been really vague with the one doc, so I made sure I'm never available when she is for appointments. I don't care how long they feel you have left to go, they should really try to leave you with positive notes, and not the crappy feeling that you will be feeling this way for longer than you want.
I can't believe what an a** some Dr's are....and how much they apparently don't know.....my sister went into labor hours after her Dr appt and everything was fine at the appt, including no contractions.
Things can change so fast....if anything start walking around a lot...they swear that's why my sister went early. She was working on her feet for 8 hrs a day, and kept complaing to her Dr that she needed her to give her a Dr's note b/c her feet swelled so bad (and I mean BAD) but her Dr just blew her off and made it like she was a complainer and she was fine. My mom and I didn't believe that it was ok, she was extremely uncomfortable to the point that she was in pain from the swelling.....well now she has a premature baby born due to her standing on her feet too long.....go figure, gotta love some Dr's!!
Good luck!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for an early Christmas present
Even though anything can happen even if you aren't dialted that was part of my frustration... it's okay if he chose not to do an internal, but he didn't touch me at all (belly, ankles, internal exam- nothing) so how the heck does he know I have no signs of going any time soon and what's changed so much since I was previously told to be prepared to give birth any day!?
Thanks for understanding girls... and again congrats Deanna!
ETA: yeah, yeah, yeah it's me summer BTW...
u need to prove him wrong! start running in place 20 minutes before you go to bed!!
