The many faces of the $1000++ Dog
Seriously this week has been a nightmare. Sorry I havent been around.
As you all know Ladmo was neutered last Monday. We each stayed home from work with him. Put a cone on his head...He figured out how to get around it and licked his wound until it came open. This was while we were both at work Thursday. So we ruch him to the emergency hospital because our vet closed at 6.
$1000 later and dead tissue and muscle removed. He is doing better. He had to have 2 drains in from Thursday til yesterday morning...he got those removed and is feeling alot better. We still have to do warm compresses 3 times a day, pain meds every 8 hours, and antibiotics every 12 hours.

its really sad. Sometimes he will start to cry or fuss and I just feel so bad for him
We have to hand feed him and hold a hampster water thing for him to drink. Its like having a baby....This whole ordeal actually kinda put my baby fever out REAL FAST. The zero sleep, having to be with him every second I am home. Holding him, giving him meds. I just am so not ready for a baby yet. They are way more work then this!

God he's so flippin' cute though, its got to be worth it!
Glad he's doing better, hope he continues to heal up fast!
And...just to add...I had serious baby fever before we got Wrigley (like, let's not wait for marriage, I want a baby now type, even though I was still in grad school and only 22 years old)...then Wrigley got giardia and I got cured for two years of ANY baby fever!
