WWA08D?
Every now and then I like to look at jobs just to see whats out there.
I just found a job at the base doing pretty much what I do, making almost 5 dollars more an hour. Now of course there is absolutely no guarantee that I would even get an interview.
But I am hesitant in leaving the school district because of the time off I get. I get 30 days off throughout the year which I take full advantage of. I take that time to go see my family.
At what point though do you say " but it's more money" and fly the coup?
I have told Joe many times in the past that money is not the concern (which it isn't) Especially since he just got on the base and is handling up.
So what do you gals think? Should I stay put? I have to add I love my boss and some of the people I work with. So its not like I'm in a bad work environment.
Does moneytalk? or should I just get busy, stop surfing the net and do my work 
Oh I have to add I also get roughly 3 weeks personal/sick time I can use however I choose.

Sounds like you have a pretty sweet deal where you are! The additional money is nice but I have found that the more money I make the more I spend so I don't really ever make more money. LOL
thats a great way of putting it. And is why I keep staying where I am even though I'd love to work closer to home and we could use more money coming in with the house and renovations coming up. Not saying anyone where I am is the devil... incase I'm getting watched haha. But is true, I like my management... I'm scared to go somewhere and hate it.
If it was me and I was happy with who I worked with/for... had great days off like that.. and didn't neeeeed the more money.. I'd probably stay put. But thats just me. If you're really curious, try for an inview. Then decide what to do.

IMO, quality of life beats out $5 more an hour. And anyways, the extra $ will be taxed, but your time off is worth more.
I say stay where you are.
I think with the time off you get plus the fact that you like your job and aren't unhappy that you should stay. It would be one thing if the other job was a step up or something, but for roughly $5 an hour it's not worth potentially going somewhere you don't like with less time off benefits. I'm sure the time off will come in handy once Lo gets into school and stuff and you want to run off to watch a play she's in, or have thanksgiving lunch with her class, or help out on a field trip and things like that...
You may be able to negotiate more time off/better benefits if you decide to switch. My company only gives 2 weeks off but I was able to negotiate 3 weeks. It's still not enough
