Hawaii in March?

Flight prices are SUPER cheap right now ($288RT from Portland). So MH and I are considering a week-long trip to soak up some sun..& fun!!

But I've never been to Hawaii in March...is it pretty rainy? We'll most likely stay somewhere near the NS...

Re: Hawaii in March?

  • For the past 3 years we've gone in April, both early April (almost end of March) and later on... the weather has been near perfect all 3 times.  However I'm not sure how it is in March but April has been great :)  How exciting, that is such a great deal!

  • OMG Sujen - what an amazing deal!  I told MH about it and he said "you know we can fly to Portland for free on Southwest and catch a flight to Hawaii from there".  *Gasp!*  Could it be that a trip to Hawaii could be in  my future?!?  Wink
  • March is fine.  That's Spring Break time, and I traveled home a lot then when I was on the mainland.  Trips home during Christmas were sometimes a little rainy or cloudy, but March was always great.  What an awesome deal.  You should totally do it!

  • I'd say that March is safe.  Smile  And hey, even if it rains a little, lava flows and mai tais are still just as yummy!
