I am so sad and in shock right now
My friend Dolly passed away of stomach cancer this afternoon. She was losing a lot of weight over the past few months and had what she thought was heartburn and chalked up the weightloss to training for a marathon. She went into the doctor about 3 weeks ago when her stomach started bloating. They did a scan and thought she had ovarian cancer. She went in for surgery last Tuesday and they found out it was stage 4 stomach cancer. She was released on Sunday after she started eating and was walking around feeling better. She went back into the hospital at 3am today after she couldn't keep food down. They took her off the breathing machine and stopped the blood pressure medication around 2pm. She died about 30 minutes later. I was able to go to the hospital around 11am and say goodbye to her. I stayed in the hospital until she passed. I'm in complete shock right now and can't believe she is gone. I'm devastated and don't know what I'm going to do without her. I barely had time to adjust to her diagnosis and now she's gone. I can't stop crying and can't believe this is happening. I just don't know why such horrible things happen to good people.
