Re: Isis Maternity?

  • I wanted to go but it seemed that all the classes were during the day and I work so that was not possible. In the end MH and I never took any birthing classes. I already knew what to expect and I figured that the nurses would help me out with anythign I needed and they did just that.

  • I basically lived at Isis for a year. I did our pre-natal classes there (prepared childbirth, BFing, infant CPR) and started their "Great Beginnings" class when DS was about 5 weeks old. Great Beginnings was awesome - I met some of my best friends there and it was such a great way to get out of the hosue, meet other moms, etc. I did their child development classes basically until DS was about 15 months old (a group of us from Great Beginnings just kept going together) and did a few other little things - Kindermusic, Baby Yoga, etc. I love Isis!  I went to the one in Brookline, but they are all good - most of the teachers teach at multiple locations.
