Do you have NYE plans?

Well besides Kristin whose getting married, do you have NYE plans yet?

I feel like it's the same story every year - lots of plans come up that are expensive - bars/restuarants/etc - and the whole night ends up being thrown together.

I think DH are going to give-in and just throw a party ourselves. I feel like house parties are always more fun anyway.

Re: Do you have NYE plans?

  • We have an open house policy every NYE.  We make it known that we will be at home with yummy food, beer, wine, and whatever cocktail I'm in the mood for.  Anyone is welcome and if you want something special you should bring it.

You and the hubs are more then welcome to come by.  We have a wii!  We usually get anywhere from 4-12 people who come by.

  • We've been hosting a house party since we moved into our house 3 years ago. I love it. We don't get dressed up. We play Wii and Rock Band, shuffleboard and beer pong. We provide the champagne (cheap stuff) and everyone else brings beer/liquor. People always bring food, too, so we end up with more alcohol and food than we started with.

This year, we have a wedding, but my girlfriends are still throwing our party at our house (they all have apts) so we don't lose our hold on NYE.

  • I can't make plans because of my job - sucks. I usually work late on NYE, but the past couple yrs haven't been too bad - I was home by 8, I think. My first yr working in this dept, I think I got home at 11.

We usually end up doing something with our neighbors..but never any set plans.

  • We always did house parties and found them to be more fun then going out and a lot less expensive.  We've been playing the game Left/Right/Center the last few years and it turns into a battle :)
  • We're going out in the city with some of H's friends.  I'm really looking forward to it.  It's kind of expensive, but we never really do anything for NYE and I don't think we'll be taking a vacation in the forseeable future.
  • We are hosting a NYE/Beer Tasting party at our house this year. I am really looking forward to it. I love cooking and having company over. =)
  • nope,  never!  i prefer to lay on the couch with husband and watch a movie!

  • We do the house thing too. Food drinks and games. It's allways so much fun and we go comfy too. Who needs to dress up to be at a house.

  • This year I hope to be home with my newborn baby. EDD is the day before, so I might just be home and over due. Either way H and I will be home... well unless of course we're in the hospital which is also a possibility.

One of my friends is organizing a party at Public House (I think) in the city. I guess if I was without child we'd go there depending on funds...

  • The last few years, we've been going to a friend's house for a party. Snacks and drinks, shuffle board and board games. We have lots of Jello shots and lots of fun.
I'm pretty sure it's pronounced your mom's a moron and if you didn't have your name legally changed by the age of 22, so are you. Unless you're from another continent. -Groomz
