When we go home to ask all our friends to meet up at a local bar/restaurant one night to all gtg? I feel like if not we are going to spend our whole trip trying to coordinate schedules with everyone. Be honest, it's probably awful and tacky.
Re: Would it be terrible...
Ok I had another idea. What if we had a party/gtg at my grandmothers house where we are going to be staying? She lives with my parents now and they haven't sold her house yet so we are using it as our private hotel. That might be better right?
I'm not sure what she has for furniture but I'm sure I can rig something up...
Still a bad idea? Still think we should gtg once a night with different groups of friends? It's ok to be honest again! I need help!
This is legal advice. Circa 2011

Ditto again.
Just tell all of your friends that you're in town for a limited amount of time and you have obligations to your family while you're there. You would like to see them so, if they are able, they can meet you ...blahblahblah...
It might not be ideal, but it's the best way to see the max amount of people in such a short time. They'll understand.
I vote for the bar/restaurant.
No messes to clean up!
I don't think it's tacky at all. It sounds like the bar/restaurant route is the easiest and most practical way to get to see everyone while you guys are in town. I'd send an email to see who's interested in meeting up and then make a reservation somewhere since it sounds like you might have a large party.
What they said.
This!
