Im at work, going crazy. ugh. I wont go into details, but I am very happy to be getting off at 3 today.

Hey there! I suppose you are already off, but I figured I'd post to say hi. I was out of the office this morning doing a brief work thing.. and we had to spend awhile looking at this building that has no heat. It was 10 below zero this morning at 9:00. Yup - that was COLD.
Other than that, I'm in the midst of an audit for one of the organizations I work for (we have 4 different, but related businesses in our office that I do the books for) so that is very busy as well. At least I think it's going ok! Doing financials is only a small part of my job, but right now it is consuming most of my time, so I'll be glad once it's done.
Hope everyone is having a good day and that it's not as cold where you all are!!
Late Sunday night DH's grandma passed away suddenly. She was 84. Apparently she had a heart attack. Physically she had been mostly OK. She had fallen a few days before thanksgiving and was worried about going down the stairs again, so it took 4 of us to help her down the stairs to go out to thanksgiving dinner.
Since then she had been mostly ok, but since I've known her (3 years) and even longer, she had had dementia. She was definitely getting worse in that time.
We saw her on Sunday evening (like at 7 pm) and she seemed ok to me. (although DH said he thought she looked pale to him)
Well that night at 11, after her husband put her to bed, he went to get her some juice and while he was in the kitchen he heard her cough and sound like she was in pain. DH's aunt lives with them and actually did CPR on her. they couldn't revive her and the ambulance came and they tried to work on her too, but they couldn't get her back.
Anyway. I took a half day yesterday at work and I have today off. The wake was yesterday afternooon/ evening. the funeral is this morning. So far its been less emotional for most people involved just because she was fairly old, she had been suffering mentally and now her husband doesn't have to be her caregiver all the time any more and he can actually do errands without worrying about her
DH was a little shook up at the news, and I think we were all still in shock for a day or 2. Today will be the most emotional day...
