Please pray for my friends Jessica and John. Jess was in a very bad car accident last night. She was 8 months pregnant and the baby did not survive. She was rushed to the hospital for an emergency c-section but there was nothing they could do for the baby. I don't know where she is or how she is just yet - I'm assuming she's still at the hospital where the baby was born. Late last night I was told she was critical, but stable.
I'm praying she doesn't know what happened to the baby yet.
Re: Please Pray
I can't imagine - that poor family!! I'm sure once Jess is able, all she'll want to know is about the baby.
T&Ps she'll recover quickly and somehow, something will bring her some peace in her grief over having lost her child.
I can't even begin to comprehend her poor husband...
Kristin: I agree -I hope Jess was able to hold him, but from what I've been told (again, I'm waiting for word - no one can get in touch with John right now) Jess wasn't in any shape to be able to hold the baby. The accident was really bad (a truck pulled out in front of her - she was going around 60mph). The other driver is in ICU (which, I don't really care about him right now - I don't want him to die, of course, but I'm more worried about Jess).
I've been crying all morning for them. My mom is trying to get ahold of John's mom or grandmother now.
My prayers are with them.
I didn't say that very well - John is with Jess. He's just not answering calls from anyone else right now. He was there when the baby was born - that's how we found out the baby didn't make it.
That is just awful, that poor family. My thoughts and prayers are with them. I can't even imagine the pain they must be in.
Update:
Jess's stepdaughter was in the car with her but was unharmed. Jess is off the ventilator but is in ICU. She asked to see the baby when she woke up. I don't know if she knows now or not but I assume so.

It is bringing tears to my eyes just imagining what your friend is going through. I'm happy to hear her stepdaughter was unharmed. So very sad.
