I opened up a card from one of Micah's families long time friends.
It was one of those christmas letter type cards where it tells you how the whole family is doing. There are 2 daughters and a son. All 3 are married.
The FIRST FECKING LINE is about how there were 2 babies expected to be born next year, but both were lost.
It goes for TWO paragraphs in POEM FORM about these girls miscarriages! I was completly FLOORED! Those poor girls! They are already dealing with this lose, and to me its something I would want to keep semi-private only family and close friends would know...I would be devistated if something like that happened to me and my MIL sent it out in a christmas card for everyone to read.
I've just never seen anything like it
Re: Most F'd up Christmas card EVER
And to think, I was just saying to myself that some people need to ask Santa for a brain for Christmas.
Wow! Why I won't do a Christmas letter in my cards!
That is just wrong... and sad.
I feel so bad for those girls...And seriously, arent christmas letters supposed to be good things. WHO does that!
She kept going on and on about god having different plans, and making it all RHYME! I think it was the fact that it was in poem form that reallllly sent me over the edge! If that was my mother or MIL and I was one of those girls, I would seriously be PO'd and sit her down and tell her how inapprorpiate that letter was.
God forbid this ever happen but my MIL would be the one who did this.
It's like the gossipers at church (not all, but def mine)...
I'd be plenty pissed.
Wow. I would definitely be shocked if I read that in a Christmas letter. I agree with Lore that maybe her intentions were good but it was not done in the right way.
YUCK! And my aunt would totally do that. Her annual Christmas letter is so full of doom and gloom that it's almost comical. I hope I get one this year, so I can share it. . . She chronicals the whole year like, May 14 - the 10th anniversary of my brother's death from cancer (that would be my dad), April 10 - Danny (her husband) pulled a muscle in his back, and was in pain for weeks.
She's a treasure. . .
Ditto
That's just completely unnecessary, and IMO, an inappropriate medium by which to share that information.
How embarrasing for those girls!
My sister and I banned our mom from writing her annual letter this year. What is she going to say..."well - John died in April and the year has just sucked since then..."
