Do you make your bed everyday?
does your DH do it?
Just curious after a discussion I had last night with D.
Re: Beds...
Whoever gets home from work first usually does. We have a super small bedroom so it making the bed makes it feel less cluttered.
Do you make your bed everyday?
Nope, it only gets made on the weekends and I'm the only one who does it. Unless we are having company over.
does your DH do it?
No, only on very very rare occassions. Especially when it comes to fully making it (putting sheets and a comforter on it) he doesn't know how to do it properly and he gets too frusturated so I just do it myself.
My fat, lazy, sob of a husband never makes it and it drives me BSC. He sleeps in every day but he also gets home before I do so I feel like he should do it. he complains about it not being done but I seriously just dont have the time to. I hate an unmade bed. Like seriously hate it. Even if I make it, he will yank on the covers until they dont stay on the bed anyway.
This is a sore subject in my house right now so I was curious how others were in their own homes.
We don't make the bed daily only if we're gonna have company over.
And DH usually does it. He is the one who thinks I can't do it right. I don't care, that just means one less thing I have to do.
I made it a few times and DH was like-oh, it looks nice that way! (duh.)... so we made a deal... whoever is out of bed last (usually me, except most wkends) makes it. He realized that he's not the last, so he shook on it. It's worked so far, although he isn't a great bed maker, but it's a start...
He does help me make it after changing the sheets-which is a PIA-we have those sheet suspenders-or our fitted ones would come off all the time.
We only make the bed when I do the linen washing or company comes over.
But we have a pretty unfussy bed...just a duvet and a few pillows
And my mom always said the bed needed to be "aired out" - so I will never make the bed if it hasn't had time to "air out." weird
nope - I don't.
sometimes DH throws the covers over to keep teh dog hair out of the bed.

When it comes to the bed, the bigger issue for us is the way DH sleeps--he's allllllll over the place in his sleep and brings the sheets and duvet with him. He also can't stand having anything "tucked in." I, on the other hand, don't move around much, don't travel with the sheets, and like things tucked to a certain degree. So, when I wake up, the sheet is bunched up and twisted on my half of the bed, I'm usually freezing, while DH has the duvet on his side half-hanging down and the fitted sheet is half pulled off the mattress. His pillows are also half over mine, and he's sleeping diagonally cutting half of me out of the bed. It drives me BSC. I hate having a messy bed, or sleeping in one. <---this is usually how it ends up that DH just piles things on the bed when he gets up, rather than attempting to make it.
Sorry, that kind of turned into a rant LOL.
This. Maybe a little more often when I'm on a cleaning spree.
We keep the bedroom door closed at all times anyway to keep the cats out. We just fix the covers right before we go to bed. The "air out" thing is true - when you make the bed immediately, you trap all your "body soil" in there and your sheets don't stay as fresh!
DH is ALWAYS the last one out of bed and I have just never brough it up because I know he wouldnt do it. IT would be really nice though to have a made bed every day, because we seriously make it every night before we go to bed, I just cant get into an unmade bed. drives me nuts.
Every morning I get up though his side is in shambles and makes my side awful. I hate it. I've considered moving to another room just because of this lol.
I make it every day and I even put the goddamn decorative pillows on every day. DH has never made it, except for when he knew I was coming home after having Hunter. He figured that I'd be pretty pissed if it wasn't made.
My grandma basically beat it into me (not really, just told me that as soon as you get out of bed, you make it) when I was little so I can't stand unmade beds.
Hahaha! DH feels confined if the sheets are tucked in so every night he flops around until he's comfortable. My revenge is that I steal the covers in my sleep and he wakes up freezing.
LOL, yup! DH gets into bed and then kicks his legs vertically to un-tuck everything and get it to where he likes it. In the meantime, all the sheets and duvet get messed up, and I try to smooth things out on my side. It's a never-ending battle!
Do you make your bed everyday? Only if someone is coming over that I want to show the entire house to
does your DH do it? nope
Ditto this for our house
Well...I pull the Duvet up and lay the pillows straight if I am the last one out of bed...if Gil is the last one up he usually does not make it, but sometimes he surprises me...It's not a big deal for us though!
