FF is just too far away...

Plus I won't be here in the morning and not sure if I'll have time Fri. afternoon.

DH took G back to see the ALS(lou gehrig's disease) specilalist yesterday. Of course MIL had to have her nose all in it.
Well as they were waiting in the waiting room with other people who have the same thing, most are worse than G, and as they are waiting MIL says to DH right in front of G that she will have to get her a cool moterized wheel chair. What the mess!!!
First of all, G's legs are not affected, they may be in the future but as of now they are fine.
Second of all, who says that right infront of someone who has this terrifying disease. Especially if it's YOUR MOTHER!!!

DH described it as MIL thinking G is like a puppy dog that she can buy toys for. He is so frustrated because he feels he is the only one who sees this happening.

I think it really got to him seeing all those people. He had to walk outside while they were there, he couldn't take thinging about G being like that one day.

Re: FF is just too far away...

  • WOW, that's so sad for G. I can't believe MIL is so insensitive. I hope your DH can come to terms with with G having ALS, and enjoy his time with her.
  • WOW

Some people are just so inappropriate and dont THINK before they speak!

  • Just horrible... I don't think DH's Gran is senile, just starting to have probs, right?...

and what Sheri stated about asking for a brain for Christmas still stands...

Right! Her mind is fine and will be unless something else happends to her. ALS does not affect your thinking, only muscle function.
