How is everyone today?
I was hoping it was Saturday when I opended my eyes, but alas, it's only Friday.
Re: Good Morning
At least it's Friday and not Wednesday or even worse, Monday!
I'm good! We are supposed to get up to 18" of snow! I know most of you northern ladies are laughing because that's nothing for you but it's our biggest snow storm in 10 years! We used to get blizzards all the time in the 90s and then nothing! I'm probably going to end up leaving work early because its supposed to start late morning so I've got to get a lot done. I'm just excited to go out and play with the doggies in it tomorrow!
Even in WI, 18" of snow will close most things and we don't laugh at it (18" total snow for a while isn't anything here, but 12"+ at any one time is enough for people to think twice.) With that much, we MIGHT even get time off (although this year was the first time in ~25 years my work actually closed for the day, and then people still had to work from home if they had laptops.) Be careful!
Watch those doggies - Xena loves the snow, but when we got ~15" with our last storm, she really struggled in it - bounding through it was COMPLETELY different than she's used to (it being the first snowfall and A BIG ONE) and she wound up really beat after only like 10 minutes playtime; then she was a little more stiff and sore the rest of the night. Their toes/pads also get cold really fast too (their pads are like our hands.)
I'm doing alright. Mel, ITA with you - I've been disoriented all week as to which day it's been. I'm not sure what day I thought it was this morning, but TGIF!!
It also didn't help that we got a new alarm clock that annouces the date, time, and outside temperature and it said that today was Saturday. I think I just have originanally set the date wrong and just noticed now, or DH putzed with it and moved something around.
18" of snow is not a laughable thing. I'd cry if we got that much, it shuts the city down for awhile, especially if it hits a rush hour
Morning.
I thought it was Saturday too this morning. We had casual day yest. so I was totally thrown off.
I have SO much to do at home. *cough, cough* I think I might need to go home early. We'll see how that goes.
Graves: I think they said we would get up to 14 this far west. I'm not looking forward to it because 14 in town means on the mountain where we live, we'll probably have 2+ feet.
I wanted today to be Saturday too. I was definitely ready for Saturday.
Morning! I'm so happy it's Friday. I have so much to get done tonight and tomorrow to get ready for next week.
I also have to decide if I want to get the H1N1 shot for Declan tomorrow...and I'm still torn!
Last time I saw we were in the 14-17" range. The thing that sucks for us is we live on the side of a mountain, a very steep mountain! I am going to park at the bottom when I go home and walk up which I hate but better safe than sorry. I have 4wd but still it's a lot of snow!
