Festival of Lights

When I lived in WV, the zoo there had a festival of lights where the entire grounds has huge light displays set up and you could drive through and oooooohhhh and ahhhhhh. There are awesome Snoopy ones -- I love it!!

Dh and I were going to drive through neighborhoods to enjoy the lights since we didn't know of anything like that here in SC. Well, I just found out a zoo here does the same thing, so DH and I are going to go next week since I'm off and it's much less creepy than driving through neighborhoods LOL.

So here's my question, Does your area have a Festival of Lights or something similar??

Re: Festival of Lights

  • DHs home town has a few streets of houses where EVERY house is covered in Christmas lights.  It is very pretty but it can get crowded on nights near Christmas with cars and foot traffic.  Honestly I would hate to live on one of those streets.

  • I know I answered this in PP but yes we have one.  It's at a place called Hartwood Acres which is basically an old estate that was donated and turned into a park.  It's pretty big and the lights are always done really well.

  • There's one by my parents.  I haven't been to it in years (because it became insanely $$$), but I liked it when I was younger.  I have no idea if there's anything like that around here, but I feel like there probably is.
