Since you live in the DFW area, do you happen to have the phone number for the toll authority up there on say a recent bill or anything? I looked up the website and couldn't find a phone number. Already used the "contact us" link and sent them an e-mail but haven't heard anything back. I need to get info about how much I owe from a run through during Thanksgiving. Mapquest directed us onto toll roads and we didn't have a tolltag or money. I was hoping the tolls just worked like Austin's and they just send me a bill. Anyway, total random question but thought I'd ask before I post of the DFW board. Thanks!

Most of the toll roads in the Dallas area will send you a bill now if you don't have a toll tag. Do you have TxTag (or whatever Austin uses) because that should work in DFW also, except for at the airport. Do you remember which tollway/turnpike you were on?
But honestly... if you just went through once (or twice) I wouldn't worry about it. I've had to do that before (before I had a tag) and they never charged me for it. I think they understand it happens occasionally. As long as you're not habitually abusing the toll tag system they probably wouldn't blink an eye.

Ohhh...okay. Maybe I'll be one of the lucky ones to not get a bill since it was during Thanskgiving. I bet they had ALOT of OOT people running through those things. I can't remember which one we were on but it's the one in the really ritzy area (ritzy to me anyway) close to the strip of car dealers like Sewell Lexus.
