So I was just poking around on BBB and figured I'd check out my brothers registry. He and his wife were married in '08. Anyways, I notice that their wedding registry is now called a "housewarming registry". They don't own a house. They just barely moved out of my parents house into an apartment.
Does this strike any of you as odd?
It does me for two reasons. #1 They don't own a house. #2 Setting up a registry for a 'house'warming party seems kind of gift grabby to me...especially in light of #1.
Maybe they just didn't want to have it be a wedding registry anymore since their wedding was sooo last year (aka they've btdt).
Eh, to each their own I suppose.
ETA: The gift grabby comment was mostly because they don't actually own a house. No offense meant if anyone set up a housewarming registry for an actual home they've bought.

Re: Question for you
1. Does BBB automatically rename it a housewarming registry after a certain time period??
2. Can the couple simply rename it themselves?
3. If you brother and wife DID have it changed, I don't find it too weird since they're just establishing a new place, even though it's not a house.

I tried to see if there was a way to turn my wedding one there into a housewarming (it seems like thats what they did, the stuff they received/want is the same as the wedding registry). I couldn't figure it out. In the create a registry thing housewarming is one of the options though.
I guess it just struck me as a little odd is all.
