stuck snow plow = entertainment

The snow plow got stuck in a ditch outside my house.  He must have been too far to the right.  The other snow plow proceeded to try and pull him out and broke not 1, but 2 chains.  They finally gave up and left, leaving the snow plow at a 45-degree angle outside my yard.  Quite the entertainment for the evening!

How's everyone enjoying our snow day?  The dogs love it! :)

Re: stuck snow plow = entertainment

  • Snow plows can be entertaining...one year a snow plow ended up plowing through my parents' front yard (fence wiped out and all)....we have about 4 inches of snow outside of State College....how about everyone else?

  • I just saw your pic on fb...too funny
  • At least a little entertainment for you!

At 4 pm we had about 15 inches, and it hasn't stopped - so I can only imagine what we're up to now! (Frederick, MD)

  • lol. Is it still there or did they get it out?

Lancaster got about a foot of snow. I worked last night, and the roads were still snow covered at 0800 on my way home. It would be nice if they would clear the roads sometime soon!

  • We left to go to a party at 6:30pm last night and it was still stuck at that point.  When we got home at 11:30pm, it was out.  It was stuck for a good 3 hours though, at least!

We ended up with about 10" of snow.  I'm excited - DH is super excited.  We love watching the dogs enjoy it -- this was Sarge's first snow fall :)

  • Oh, that is funny.  Snowplows pulling out snowplows!

The last time it snowed, the snowplow took out our mailbox Sad, knocked down our garbage bin, and the next-door neighbor's recycling bin.  Seriously, how do you not realize you're off the road after hitting a mailbox?  I know that was hit first, due to the blade marks.  Driver didn't leave a note or anything.  Thankfully, it was repairable.
