Re: How was your weekend?

  • Saturday was a very busy day.  We went out shopping and to lunch and were gone for about 7 hours.  We finished up all of our holiday shopping and we got to eat lunch at one of our favorite restaurants.

Yesterday we were snowed in, which was perfectly fine with me.  We baked cookies and watched football.  It was a really nice day.

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

  • Our weekend was good. On Friday we stayed home because I was completely worn out from my class's Christmas party. On Saturday morning we went to the gym, came home for lunch, then I went finish Christmas shopping. At night, we went to a friend's house for a small get-together. On Sunday we went to church in the morning. DH spent most of the day building shelves in the garage and organizing the garage. He went spend some time with the guys when he was done. I spent the day wrapping the last of the presents and cooking a soup for dinner. It was a very productive weekend.

Unfortunately, it doesn't snow here. My parents are vacationing in Tennessee right now. They had snow over the weekend.

  • ::Raises Hand::

We got about 17" of snow, which is far greater than what we are used to and able to deal with easily.  Well not totally stuck.  I live in a fairly walkable area so we went out to eat on Saturday morning, walked to a friends house for dinner, and managed to get to church on Sunday.  I feel as though I should get extra points for that one!  But I got a ton done!  And now I have a snow day today! Wohoo!

    Hope everyone is safe!

  • Normally we live in the area that gets hit with snow pretty good, but this time we lucked out and didn't get any.  Friday night we went out to eat and went and saw Avatar.  Saturday I did some shopping with my mom and then we went grocery shopping in the afternoon and I made cut-out cookies.  Yesterday, we went to church and afterwards, I decorated the cut-out cookies, made butter mints and sauce too.  Did some laundry but not all of it (I have Thursday off and plan to finish it then).  Was a very productive week but I wish it could have been longer.  Still have lots to do!

  • We didn't get stuck at home, no snow in Bama yet.

Friday night we went to dinner and then to see The Blind Side with friends, that movie is so good!!!!

Saturday was full of Christmas shopping and gift wrapping then that evening we went to a Dirty Santa party at a friend's house.

Yesterday DH had a lazy day while I baked cookies.

  • We got only about an inch of snow...  I kind of wish it was more, though - I like white Christmases.  I also think if we're going to have snow, it should be all or none!  I want 6"+ - not this "dusting" crap.

We had way too much fun this weekend - went out with friends on Friday and met an awesome couple.  Saturday was FBIL's birthday and we went out to a local comedy club, which was SO fun and the comedians were great.  Yesterday, FIL took us out to lunch in a nearby small town and we went shopping in some of the local cute little shops and DH and I did a little shopping at home, too.

  • I really liked Blind Side, too!   Even DH liked it and he doesn?t usually like sports movies.

Friday we didn?t do too much.  Went out to eat.

Saturday we had a lazy day which was so nice.  We also got some stuff done (picked up the last present, oil change, etc).  That night we went out to eat to celebrate becoming ?official? 4 years ago.

Sunday after church was laundry and grocery shopping.  That night we went to a party for DH?s friend?s new baby.  He is the first in the circle of friends to have a baby so that was interesting to see the reactions of all the friends.

We didn?t get the storm this last weekend.  We got one earlier that dumped about 8? of snow which got us stuck for a day while we waited for snow plows to get to our neighborhood.  We are supposed to get another one coming through Tuesday night-Thursday with freezing rain and more snow so that could mess up some travel plans.

  • Friday:  Nothing really.  Caught up on a couple DVR'd shows because we got an HD DVR installed on Sunday.

Saturday:  Finished up my DVR'd shows (stacks up when you go to bed everynight for a week).  Got the house cleaned up, because I finally started feeling better!! : )

Saturday night was H's work Christmas party.  It was a blast!!  Nothing like a good time at the Moose Lodge.

Sunday:  My mom came over and hung out.  We got HD installed on our new TV.  H and I finally watched the Hangover.

  • We got about 22" of snow - Today was the first day I really got out and about - and I'm only at work! I still can't get my car to go anywhere, so I had Jamie drive me in. It's nice to see the outside world again after 4 days of being trapped in the house. I was going absolutely insane. The roads, especially the side and back roads are still pretty bad, so I'm glad I didn't drive myself.

So that pretty much sums up what I did all weekend since the snow came in Friday night. :o)
