The weather outside is frightful
Our snow has started with a vengeance. It's really bad out. We closed the office about 20 minutes ago. One of my partners got stuck on his way to his house and his car is now in my driveway (he lives a few houses up from me). MH and I both made it home but we already have 4 or 5 inches at our house (in town there was maybe an inch).
Graves: how does c-burg look?
Re: The weather outside is frightful
You're not a horrible person...I wouldn't want to go dress shopping in the midst of this kind of weather either.
They just closed all the roads in my county. Seriously. All of them.
I think we ended up with around the same amount of snow as you guys, Graves.
MH and I went Christmas shopping yesterday but when we pulled back into the driveway, we went flying because of the ice/snow build up on our road. I decided to work from home today because I'm not brave enough to try to go down and back up this mountain. Even in my 4wd. I'm just glad we aren't on the same grid as all the people in SW VA and Southern WV who lost power. MH can't work today because the area he works in lost power AND water so everything is closed.
Yeah my hill scared the crap out of me this morning because it was pretty icy. I made it to work ok. A lot of places around are closed or delayed. I'm the only one working today or probably all week because our big trucks can't get out of our warehouse. We also have jobs in Princeton and they got 20" so there is no way we are sending our big trucks up there to get stuck.
