How was everyone's weekend?
Blah to Monday. But at least it's a short week!
Our weekend was good. I made fudge and chocolate peanut butter squares. I didn't make penuche yet. I was too scared hahaha. I have messed it up the past few years. I am going to try it tonight, so we'll see how it goes!
I'm sad we didn't get more snow though, I'm so jealous of the places that got a foot or more!
Re: How was everyone's weekend?
The weekend flew by. Friday night we had dinner at my parents' and hung out with my family. Saturday we didn't do much, mostly stuff around the house, wrapping presents, etc. Yesterday my tournament in the morning got cancelled which I was pretty bummed about, but then we played in a different tournament last night so at least I got a little exercise in.
I'm so glad the snow was manageable; shoveling wasn't too bad. And the major highways were freakishly clear last night. Like if you didn't see the snow banks on the side of the road you'd never know from the road itself that it had snowed.
Pretty good. Shopping was insane Saturday, but we had to get it done. One of my BMs got engaged that night and I'm so excited for her.
I kinda wish we got more snow. I'm glad I didn't have to shovel more, but I was a little disappointed that we only got like 1/2 a foot.
My weekend was good. I worked every night and helped SIL and BIL move into their Reading condo.
Saturday night was great. A guest who I had been working with for the past month, came to the hotel and proposed to his girlfriend. I was in charge of putting the rose petals in the room, get the champagne ready and fire up the camera so that he could capture her reaction to the flowers and candles (battery operated of course). He really went all out and the ring was GORGEOUS. He sent me message that night saying that everything was perfect, she loved it and thanked me for everything that I did to help him out. That was the highlight of my weekend.
Yesterday was very slow at the hotel, but now I can look forward to 4 days off!
I agree! I'm so impressed with the plowing and snow removal here because NY does such a bad job. I was talking to MIL yesterday morning and they had started plowing and shoveling the parking lot at our complex around 6 AM while it was still snowing. The snow had ended 24 hours earlier in NY and they hadn't even had major roads plowed yet (and when they do plow them they do a really bad job and just dump huge piles of salt everywhere- in the city they just push the snow into peoples' cars so, when they have to come dig them out, the snow just ends up back in the road or on the sidewalk).
Our weekend was pretty quiet too. Just did a little bit of Christmas shopping and wrapped some gifts. And sent like 30 emails trying to straighten everything out for this practicum I'm doing at Boston Medical Center next semester- it is becoming a huge hassle and no one knows exactly what their job is.

Good morning!
My weekend was nice and relaxing. Went to the pops friday night, did some shopping saturday, and just relaxed & cleaned yesterday.
Good Morning!
Our weekend was very productive. MH got his bonus on Friday so we did all of our Christmas shopping Friday night/Saturday morning. Everything was paid for in cash and is wrapped. So exciting and MH was such a huge help. I think I'd still be wandering if it wasn't for him.
Sunday we did some cleaning & baking. We got 10inches in Southie. Murray didn't love the snow so I have a coat on the way for him.
My weekend was good! Saturday wasn't extremely eventful... I exercised and then proceeded to be lazy for a few hours... then ran errands, baked andes mint- chocolate chip cookies and went over to a friend's house.
Sunday, I baked baked baked... I started w/hot chocolate on a stick, then made lemon poppyseed cookies, chocolate crinkle cookies, oreo truffles and peanut butter chocolate chunk cookies... I was supposed to make marshmallows too but I lost the corn syrup and it reappeared later that night.
Then nachos for dinner.
My weekend was pretty good actually. I finished all my Christmas shopping yay!!
Firday night we had our Christmas party which was a lot of fun. Saturday morning I had a meeting and at night we went to a friend's house and played Mario Kart on Wii which is insanely addicting!
Sunday I stayed home in my pjs all day long and wrapped presents and watched Christmas movies ;-) We ended up with nearly 20 inches of snow!
Mine was very fun:)
Friday I got home to find a moving truck parked in front of our driveway, completely blocking it and the fire hydrant next to it- ok, that part was not fun. DH made them move it. I baked amaretti and 7 layer bars, made stuffed pork chops with roasted sweet potatoes and sauteed spinach for dinner, we made a fire in the fireplace and watched "How I Met Your Mother".
Saturday DH went shopping while I wrapped presents, then we went to a coworker's party.
Sunday we slept in, DH shoveled all the snow, and I wrapped everything he bought the day before, then I baked cookies and went to pilates. We got a lot of snow, but with the exception of our neighborhood, the roads were in very good condition by mid-afternoon, so driving was not an issue.
