I got into work a few minutes later than normal, but all in all, it really wasn't that bad. The side roads were horrible and icy, but the main roads (38, 295, 95) were ok. 295/42/76 was still kind of messy and some of the lanes were missing. The Walt was fine too.
H has a 2 hour delay, which usually turns into a base closure, but I came in early because I had a meeting this morning that the guy cancelled because he's snowed in down in DC. I'm going to be pissed if H gets the whole day off and I'm here. Now I have to stay here until 4:30 for another meeting and I know I'm going to hit traffic. ![]()
Tomorrow's my last day at work this week, so I'm pretty psyched about that.
Re: So who had work today?
H just texted me and said that his work is closed. I'm so freaking jealous! Not fair.
I got a call yesterday that the schools are closed which I was shocked about b/c our district normally waits till last minute....I SO needed the day off b/c I had to cancel 2 appts for the wedding this weekend and I had no clue when I would be doing them with work and christmas this week. I now have a list of everything I HAVE to get done today.
I officially have only 2 days left of work until I have off until Jan 10th!!! I can't wait for vacation!!
We never close. I am here. The roads actually weren't too bad - for once, better in PA than NJ. the back roads near us aren't that great, and our development is awful.
Jack is still sick - he's been sick since Thurs. I feel so bad for the little guy. Hoping he's better by Thurs.
My work never closes either. That being said, I am here. I agree with Toni too about Philly being better plowed than Jersey. I came across some a-holes on the road this morning but that was about it. I can't wait to go home today though!! T - 1.75 days of work left!
I'm here. We had a 2-hr delay. The most treacherous road was my street at home. Annoying. The worst part about Philly is the slushy sidewalks. Yuck!
Short week for me, too. Half day tomorrow and Wed.!
We never, never close either. Sucks.
Jersey seems to be hit or miss. Most of 295 was ok, down south, but parts had weird rough ice on them. The ramps sucked balls.
